Bring in gently used and clean children - junior clothes and winter gear and swap them out for other clothes! This is a free children’s clothing swap. Bar will be open from 5pm - 8pm to for the event.

Many of the 13th ave businesses will be passing out treats, the Briar will be hosting our stuffy adoption table again this year, and more! Wear your costume and come on down!
Annual Fall Neighborhood Trash Clean up
Join the Briar, for our annual fall neighborhood trash clean up. We will be cleaning up Sheridan Neighborhood, Logan Park, and St. Anthony West. Briar and Sheridan Neighborhood Association will provide trash grabbers, gloves, buckets and maps.
Come early and enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries before the event on the Patio of the Briar.
Community Meal
Join the Briar Community for our free community meal on the First Tuesday of each month. There will be a cash bar of wine/beer and all donations for mutual aid will go to the “Misfit Garage of Kitties” . Brook, a Briar employee, runs Misfit Garage of Kitties out of her garage, caring for stray and feral cats that find their way to her. She provides food, medical care, and warm shelter during Minnesota’s cold winters. If you can’t make the meal but want to support the rescue you can purchase a t-shirt here, for pickup at November 3rds, community meal.

Community Meal
Join the Briar Community for a free meal on the First Tuesday of each month. We will be serving up Lasagna, Salad, and N/A beverages for Sept. There will be a cash bar of Wine/Beer available. All donations and bar profits go towards the mutual aid selection of our staff. This September the staff has chosen to donate it to their co-worker Brenna, who broke her ankle in August and has been unable to work while healing. So walk, bike, bus, or wonder down here and join us for a great night!

Babes in Bikeland 2026
Briar Bar is a proud sponsor and stop for the 2026 Babes in Bikeland ride.
From 2006 until 2016, Babes in Bikeland was the largest and longest-running all femme, trans and women-centered allecyat (unsanctioned urban bike race) in the country. The ride inspired generations of new riders to challenge themselves, meet a new community and experience a bike space guided by the ethos of “by us and for us.”
Though ten years have passed since the last iteration of Babes, the community hasn’t gone away! We envision Babes in Bikeland 11 to be a celebration — a bike race and ride for women, trans, femme and gender expansive riders.
For the 2026 event, you will simply register on BikeReg to participate. And at the start, riders will have the option of two route lengths (approximately 10 or 30+ miles). Compete solo or cruise with friends. Dress in your speediest spandex or a fun costume. The choice is yours.
Registration opens at 12pm at Venture Bikes (Midtown Greenway at 10th Ave ramp). Race starts at 2pm.
